Public Meeting: Stop Waste Burning in Brampton
A privately-owned waste incinerator on the border between Brampton and Mississauga is planning to quadruple its operations to become the largest waste-burning facility in Canada. Join Environmental Defence, Sierra Club Peel group, Brampton Environmental Alliance, Toronto Environmental Alliance and Peel's Community Climate Council for to learn about the impacts of ramped-up toxic emissions from the incinerator and to help build a plan to halt its expansion.
